Gunyama Park Launch FREE Weekly Exercise Group for Parents
- Parents Only
When it comes to exercising as a parent, it’s no secret that it can be tricky. Getting childcare can be a real battle, and it all too often gets put in the too-hard basket. Well, no more!
Gunyama Park is launching a free (yes FREE!), weekly exercise group for parents. Here’s what you need to know.
Free Exercise Group with Onsite Childcare
Commencing on Monday 21 June, Gunyama Park will be launching a weekly exercise group for parents—and the best bit? They’ll look after your children, so you can attend child-free!
Every Monday from 10-11 am, the group will take place on the Gunyama Park sports field (unless raining—in which case classes will run inside the centre.)
While the exercise group is free to join, fees and charges apply for crèche bookings. A discount applies for 360 members (which let’s face it is yet another reason to snag a membership!), who can get a whopping 50% off crèche fees for bookings during class time.
Managed by two fully qualified childcare professionals, the Gunyama Park Crèche operates from Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm, for children aged 8 weeks to 6 years old. All sessions are paid for at the time of making the booking, with a minimum booking of one hour and a maximum of two. (You know you’re a parent when that is the epitome of indulgent ‘you’ time…)
Let the professionals take care of your kids while you work up a sweat and get those endorphins pumping!
The Benefits of Group Exercise
The list of benefits that come with working out as part of a group is long and varied allowing participants to really maximise their sessions—which is why it’s such a good option for parents!
These classes promise a real sense of community—enabling parents to meet new people they’ll inevitably have lots in common with by nature of also being parents. The fact that the classes run every week ensures plenty of consistency, whilst also helping with accountability to keep participants on track with their goals. The workouts will also be super-varied, so you won’t be doing the same thing week in, week out. Oh, and did we mention it's free? Race you there!
