What's cooler than a water park? A wave pool at a water park, of course! Although I should add it's not cool in temperature, it's a heated wave pool at Funfields Themepark with the red hot name of Volcano Beach.

Opening to the public on 21 December 2018, the multi-million dollar development will include pool-side cabanas available for hire to make those days out with the family even more enjoyable.

This is Victoria's first ever wave pool and houses over 1.5 million litres of heated water which will pump out waves up to one metre high.

We Love Funfields Theme Park

The opening of the wave pool comes only one year after the launch of their record breaking waterslide the Gravity Wave, making Funfields home to three of five record-breaking slides in Australia. It's also famous for its 14 family friendly attractions, including Thunderdome Go-Karts, toboggan run, Treasure Cove mini golf, Tiki Bay Bumper Boats and more.

Surf's Up?

If you're looking to surf these waves you'll be disappointed, the wave park is for body surfing only. You might be keen to check out URBNSurf in Melbourne if you want to catch a break on a man-made wave.
