3. Bendigo Easter Festival

Eggs-plore Bendigo with the whole family at the iconic Bendigo Easter Festival.

The Bendigo Easter Festival will take place between Friday 18 - Monday 21 April 2025, with several Easter events in Melbourne planned. 

A short trip from Melbourne, the Bendigo Easter Festival is one of Victoria's longest-standing Easter events. The festival showcases the famous Chinese Dragon Parade, live entertainment, carnival rides, and various family-friendly activities, making it a worthwhile excursion for those looking to experience regional festivities!

4. Good Friday Appeal Kids Day Out 

Supported by the City of Melbourne, the annual Kids Day Out is a day of amusements and activities for the whole family to raise funds for The Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

Enjoy free entry and activities for kids and families, including carnival rides, a Teddy Bear Hospital, a sensory zone, a sporting zone, a Woolworths Fresh Fair and much more!

5. Diamond Creek Eggstravagant Easter Egg Hunt and Family Picnic

6. Easter High Tea at Rippon Lea Estate

Celebrate Easter Sunday at Rippon Lea Estate with a day full of family fun and festivities. Stroll through the Rose St. Maker’s Market on the main lawn, enjoy pony rides, and don’t miss a special visit from the Easter Bunny.

Kids aged 5–16 can join The Great Rippon Lea Egg & Spoon Race, held at 11am, 12pm, and 2pm, with races grouped by age and prizes to be won—register early to secure a spot.

Pack a picnic and relax on the beautiful grounds, or explore the historic mansion during open house hours from 11am–12:30pm and 1pm–2:30pm.
