Charles Heath Reserve Gets a Million-dollar Makeover!

2024 is the year Canada Bay goes big on play. We're talking a cool $7.1 million splashed out on crafting fun, inclusive play areas all over the place.

This isn't just any revamp; thanks to some generous backing from the NSW Government and the City of Canada Bay, Charles Heath Reserve is undergoing a massive $4.7 million transformation, which is set to be your new favourite outdoor hangout by mid-2024.

Imagine chilling with mates at the new barbecue and picnic spots, flexing at the outdoor fitness station, or letting the kiddos run wild in the adventure playground. Plus, there's going to be some eye-popping public art to jazz it up, including a spectacular mural by Fintan Magee, drawing inspiration from the stained-glass vibes of Aeolian church windows to tell the Five Dock story.

A New Adventure Playground for Charles Heath Reserve

And it doesn’t stop there. The new Charles Heath Reserve Playground offers massive play towers, outdoor musical instruments, nature play spots, and even a cosy cocoon for those need-a-break moments.

The City of Canada Bay is throwing in an extra $1.37 million for some cherry-on-the-top improvements, including a shiny new amenity building and a greenskeeper facility.

This upgrade is a game changer, providing the booming Five Dock community with more green spaces and top-notch outdoor play facilities.

Plus, Five Dock Leisure Centre is getting in on the action too, with a new cafe and upgraded amenities on the way.

Charles Heath Reserve Location & Opening Date

Charles Heath Reserve is now open at Queens Rd, Five Dock. Families are invited to the official opening day festivities on 15 June from 10 am.
