Brand New Collectibles Alert! Let’s Talk Woolworths’ Fix-Ems vs Harry Potter Magical Builders at Coles

Love ‘em or hate ‘'em—it’s no secret that collectibles are seriously fun fodder for kids. We’ve seen many iterations of the supermarket over the last few years, and there’s certainly been a fair amount of backlash about the environmental impact of so much plastic. So, it seems as though both Coles and Woolworths have heeded the public’s opinions and come up with new ranges of collectibles—made much more responsibly and sustainably.

Here’s what you need to know about Woolies’ new Fix-Ems and Coles’ new Magical Builders ranges.

Fix-Ems at Woolworths

Woolworths’ latest range of collectibles launched on 6th July, and they’re set to be a sure-fire hit with movie lovers! Woolies shoppers can now collect 36 Fix-Ems from the Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars franchises when they spend $30 or more in-store or online.

So, what are Fix-Ems, we hear you ask? Fix-Ems are reusable woven patches that can be adhered to a range of surfaces, or permanently ironed onto some fabrics for a long-lasting effect (talkin’ about you, denim jackets!). They’re made from at least 80 per cent recycled material and Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) certified, AND they can be recycled in any Woolworths store, thanks to their partnership with Save Our Soles.

Basically, Fix-Em’s are an awesome decorative collectable that will elevate any item of clothing or surface. The full range includes Moana, Elsa, Buzz Lightyear, Spider-Man, Darth Vader™ and a whole lot more!

Magical Builders at Coles

Gryffindors, Ravenclaws, Slytherins and Hufflepuffs, listen up! The magic of the wizarding world has well and truly arrived at Coles, and with spellbinding results. Everyone’s favourite Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts characters are brought to life with the launch of Magical Builders—Coles’ new collectible campaign that boasts magical characters and play kits that are both plastic‑free and recyclable. The range is made with responsibly sourced FSC®-certified materials, helping to protect forests for future generations. Winner, winner, sustainable magical dinner!

There are more than 30 characters to collect, including five special-edition characters for the keenest collectors. And alongside the characters themselves, fans will love the chance to bring their characters to life through recyclable plastic-free play kits, inspired by and depicting the most iconic settings straight from the wizarding world. We’re talking Hogwarts, Platform 9¾, Hogwarts Express and a Quidditch pitch!

Coles Customers will receive a free Coles Magical Builder character with every $30 spent in one transaction at Coles, Coles Online and Coles Express. Play kits range in price from $9.75 - $15.
