Hold onto your hats, Sydney! The Blenheim Park Masterplan is rolling out, promising to turn a beloved Ryde community spot into an epic outdoor facility, complete with a brand-new, regional-level playground!

Blenheim Park: Sydney's New Regional Playground

Nestled in North Ryde, Blenheim Park is getting a major upgrade. Thanks to the City of Ryde Council's ambitious Blenheim Park Masterplan, this park is about to become a hotspot with a slew of diverse and inclusive facilities for everyone to enjoy.

Developed after years of planning and heaps of community input, the Blenheim Park Masterplan is all about creating well-connected, modern spaces for Sydney's growing population. And boy, does this new space deliver!

According to a representative from the Council "A few years ago, Blenheim Park was under risk of high-rise development. After the Council intervened, it will now become one of Sydney's best parks. This masterplan will transform Blenheim Park into a high-quality open space with modern facilities, improved connections with surrounding areas and much-needed environmental improvements."

All-new Inclusive Playground

Designed to be super inclusive, the new playground will ensure all kids can join in on the fun, no matter their age or ability. Inspired by Blenheim Park's existing natural elements and hidden history, the new playground will feature a forest and creek theme.

Features of the new inclusive playground include:

• climbing play
• treehouses
• sand play
• water play
• swings
• slides
• a flying fox
• trampolines
• adventure/nature play trails
• accessible scooter paths weaving through the park
• picnic areas with accessible BBQs and picnic settings.

And that's not all! A new amenities building will include accessible toilets, ambulant toilets, and change rooms for kids enjoying the water play zone.

New Sports Facilities

But wait, there's even more! The playground will be surrounded by extra facilities to keep everyone entertained. Think a new skate park, multi-sports courts, fitness areas, spectator seating, social spaces, a dog park, radio-controlled car club area, and flexible open spaces.
 

Blenheim Park Location & Opening Date

Blenheim Park is located at 68 Blenheim Rd, North Ryde.
