The countdown is on, tennis fans! Australian Open 2026 tickets officially go on sale at 12 pm AEST on Tuesday 7 October via Ticketmaster.
Set to take over Melbourne Park from 12 January to 1 February, the world’s first Grand Slam of the year is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever.
More than a million fans streamed through the gates in both 2024 and 2025, proving the AO is much more than a tennis tournament—it’s one of Australia’s biggest sporting and entertainment festivals.
With blockbuster matches, buzzing fan zones, live music, family fun, and delicious food experiences, AO 2026 is not to be missed.

Ticket Types and Pricing
Fans can choose from day and night sessions across Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena and John Cain Arena, with 59 sessions in total. Ground Passes remain one of the hottest tickets in town, giving fans general admission access to outside courts, Kia Arena, John Cain Arena seating, and family favourites like AO Ballpark and Grand Slam Oval.
Early-bird prices are available until 30 November, with Ground Passes starting from just $49 in week one and kids’ tickets from as little as $5.
Opening Week tickets start at $10 for adults and $5 for kids, with the added bonus of free kids’ entry on Monday 12 January, for the first day of qualifying.
AO LIVE and More Entertainment
Beyond the courts, AO LIVE will return with an expanded program of live music across the precinct, including a second stage at Top Court. Last year’s lineup featured huge names like Kesha, Kaytranada and Armand Van Helden, and 2026 promises even more.
Families can look forward to the return of Kids Tennis Day, charity matches, and interactive fan experiences, while food lovers can dive into AO Reserve—premium dining and hospitality experiences featuring Australian and international culinary stars.

The action kicks off on 12 January with Opening Week, before the main draw begins on 18 January. The tournament wraps with the women’s final on 31 January and the men’s final on 1 February, crowning the first Grand Slam champions of 2026.
