2. The Lorax

Suitable for ages 4+

If your little ones love Dr Seuss, they're going to adore The Lorax. An explosion of colour comes to life in this exciting rendition of Dr Seuss' The Lorax that follows the story of 12-year-old Ted as he goes in search of the extinct Truffula tree to impress his crush. 

3. Dora and the Lost City of Gold

What could be better than a live-action adaptation of everyone's favourite explorer, Dora the Explorer? That's what kids are in store for in Dora and the Lost City of Gold as Dora goes on a mission to find her parents and solve the mystery of the fabled City of Gold.

Brand new to Netflix from 6th August, VIVO is an animated family musical with a stellar cast of voices including Lin-Manuel Miranda and Gloria Estefan. Follow a music-loving kinkajou on the adventure of a lifetime to fulfill his destiny and deliver a love song for an old friend.

5. The Spongebob Movie: Sponge on the Run

Suitable for ages 3+

Fans of the iconic SpongeBob SquarePants will get a kick out of seeing their favourite characters come back to the screen as they go back in time to when SpongeBob met his best pal, Gary the Snail. 

6. Home

Suitable for ages 4+

If your little one is curious about aliens and what would happen if they took over the Earth, Home is about to explain it all in this adorable tale. Jim Parsons and Rihanna voice the characters of Oh and Tip, one's an alien and the other a human trying to help each other out of a mega Earthly catastrophe. 

7. Wish Dragon

Suitable for ages 4+

A newcomer on the best kids' movies on Netflix list, Wish Dragon was released in 2021 and follows the animated tale of Din as he tries to reconnect with his childhood best friend thanks to the help of a wish-granting (and bright pink!) dragon.

8. The Croods

Suitable for ages 4+

Cavemen have been brought back to life in this animated tale about the Croods family. When an earthquake obliterates their cave and a newcomer introduces them to modern technology (aka fire), the Croods go on one very wacky adventure to find a new home.

9. Matilda

Suitable for ages 5+

A list of the best kids' movies on Netflix would not be complete without Matilda! Find out what happens when a little girl named Matilda discovers she has secret powers and uses them to stand up to mean bullies and an even meaner teacher. 

10. The Willoughbys

12. How to Train Your Dragon

The How to Train Your Dragon movie franchise has exploded in the world of best kids' movies and it's easy to see why. Kids are drawn into the dragon-slaying world of Viking, Hiccup, who would much rather train a dragon than slay one. 13. Over the Moon

Does your little one have dreams of flying to the moon? Distract them for the time being with Over the Moon, an adorable musical tale that follows Fei Fei as she builds and flies a rocketship to the moon to prove the existence of a legendary moon goddess.

14. Ballerina

Suitable for ages 4+

The 2016 hit is still one of the best kids' movies on Netflix today! Get transported to 19th Century France and watch as Felicie, an aspiring ballerina, escapes from an orphanage along with her best friend Victor.

15. Shaun the Sheep Movie

Suitable for ages 3+

The Brits sure know how to do stop-motion animated comedy right in Shaun the Sheep, so we know you're going to love the Shaun the Sheep Movie. We head back to Mossy Bottom Farm but not for long as Shaun the Sheep heads to the big city in search of the Farmer. Shaun the Sheep Adventures from Mossy Bottom and Shaun the Sheep Farmageddon are also currently streaming on Netflix Australia.

16. The Penguins of Madagascar

19. Turbo

If you love a true underdog story, you're going to love the tale of Turbo, the snail who competes in the world's fastest race, the Indy 500, thanks to the help of his newfound power of speed. 

20. Minions

Suitable for ages 4+

Fans of Despicable Me can go back in time to before the Minions and Gru became a force to be reckoned with in Minions. The prequel to Despicable Me follows the tale of Minions Kevin, Stuart and Bob as they go on a mission to find themselves a new villainous master.
