Urban Climb opens Australia's biggest climbing centre in Melbourne

Blackburn isn't the first Urban Climb centre, but it is their most ambitious venue yet.

The CEO of Urban Climb explains that he saw the rock climbing gym in Blackburn as a game-changer for venues of this kind in Australia. Before Blackburn, you'd have to travel overseas to experience a venue of this size with many climbing options.

This 2800-square-metre space includes an Olympic-standard climbing wall that rises to 17 metres - or five storeys - and bouldering and speed climbing rooms. Climbers of all ages and abilities can take on the more than 200 routes available. Whether you're a climbing enthusiast or a family looking for a good day out, there's something here for you. 

 

The Monolith Wall

 

Another great feature is the constantly changing climbing routes. No two weekends will be the same, making the experience even more addictive! 

Beginners of all ages can learn the basics of climbing in the small courses. There's no reason to be scared. Just get excited!

A yoga studio, a weight training station, a sauna and a small cafe are also available at the centre to help keep you on top of your game (or recover after a big day of climbing!).
