Winter can cop a whole lot of weather-related flak, and while we do acknowledge that it's cold, we reckon winter is a great time to rug up, get cosy and head out for some family-friendly fun. 

Topping our list of things to do in and around Melbourne this winter is Adventure Park's Winter Glow Festival, bursting with snow-related jollity without the hassle of lugging everyone to the slopes. 

Step Into a Winter Wonderland at Adventure Park's Winter Glow 

Geelong’s most epic winter festival is back! Adventure Park's Winter Glow is returning for the 2025 July school holidays, featuring the biggest snow play zone outside the ski resorts. From 28 June – 9 August 2025, families can enjoy snow, lights, fire, ice, and theme park rides in a fun-filled family festival celebrating all things winter. 

Millions of Sparkling Lights

Experience the magic of 3.3 million sparkling lights and over a thousand dazzling light installations at Adventure Park. Marvel at spectacular displays including the Ice Castle, Sparkle Archway and Emoji Fields. These jaw-dropping installations featuring enchanted gardens, fairytale scenes, winter wonderlands, and immersive tunnels are perfect for capturing beautiful family photos.

A Huge Snow Play Zone

Visitors can revel in the magic of snow at the biggest snow play zone outside of the ski resorts! Build snowmen with 150 tons of machine-made snow.

There are two exciting Snow Play areas: a large zone for all ages and a special junior area for kids under 5. The snow is made from frozen water, creating approximately 800 cubic metres of snow for the event, and, fun fact—that's about the same as 100 large tip trucks!

Behold beautiful works of art in the Ice Sculpting display, meet an enchanting Ice Princess and be awestruck by two explosive fire-twirling shows!

Carnival Rides

All entry prices include access to eight theme park rides: Air Balloons, Tea Cups, Ferris Wheel, Wave Swinger, Crazy Coaster, Red Baron, Carousel, and Little Buggy rides, plus mini-golf.

Delicious Delights

Kids can roast marshmallows over the fire and indulge in the ultimate chocolate treat with loaded hot chocolate, topped with marshmallows, chocolate bars, fairy floss, cream, and more. Adults can warm up by the open fire with spiked hot chocolate, spiced cider, or mulled wine while the kids play in the snow.
