The Woodbury Reserve is set to receive an exciting upgrade that will have you itching to grab your picnic baskets, your bikes, and your friends and family and head on over for some quality time in the great outdoors. 

While we may be an hour away from the hustle and bustle of the CBD, us North-Western Sydneysiders are spoiled for choice when it comes to beautiful open green spaces and playgrounds. However, as more and more young families flock to the area in search of affordable property, many of these beloved outdoor spaces are in need of some updates and modernization. That's why it's music to our ears to hear about this fantastic upgrade to the Woodbury Reserve, which includes new amenities and an updated playground that will meet the needs of the growing community. 

The Woodbury Reserve Upgrade 
 

Thanks to the 2022 Masterplan, which was developed following extensive community consultation, the much-loved Woodbury Reserve is about to get a makeover that will provide even greater opportunities for the community to come together and enjoy all that this wonderful space has to offer.

So what can we expect from this fantastic upgrade? First up, get ready for a brand-spanking new playground that's bigger and better than ever before! This update to the Woodbury Reserve playground will feature not only the latest and greatest play equipment but will also offer more sensory and inclusive play opportunities. Additionally, the redesign will incorporate natural play spaces that celebrate the reserve's beautiful bushland setting.

But that's not all! The upgrade also includes new multi-purpose courts, a new amenities building, improved and additional parking within the site, a shared path network with better connections, improved access to natural areas, additional shelters with barbecue facilities, and even a designated dog off-leash area. What more could you want?

But wait, there's more! Thanks to additional funding from the State Government's Open Spaces Program: Places to Play grant, a new BMX pump track will also be built, adding an exciting new element to the reserve that is sure to get the adrenaline pumping for all the daredevils out there.
 

And if you thought that was all, think again. The Federal Government has also pledged a whopping $3 million in additional funding for this fantastic project, thanks to WestInvest funding from the State Government. This is just one of nine WestInvest projects worth close to $98 million that will be built in the Hawkesbury, making this an exciting time for the local community.

All in all, this upgrade is set to make Woodbury Reserve the go-to destination for all your outdoor needs and worth the drive for anyone now in the North-Western Sydney area.
