There❜s a new $150 back to school voucher for NSW families

  • Kids

Attention, families in New South Wales, we have some good news.

We don't need to remind you that the cost of living is rising, and families are among the hardest hit. Which is just one of the reasons the new $150 NSW back-to-school voucher has come as welcome news to many.

The back to school voucher of $150 per child will help with the costs of school supplies for term one next year.

What is the NSW back-to-school voucher?

So here's the deal: eligible families can claim $150 per child they have who is attending primary or secondary school in NSW in 2023.

Treasurer Matt Kean has said the new back-to-school vouchers are to help combat the rising cost of living and is encouraging families to use it to buy kids' school supplies early next year, including uniforms, shoes, textbooks or stationery.

The voucher will be available in early January 2023 and can be spent using the service NSW app. The vouchers will be valid until 30 June 2023.

Other elements that affect eligibility for the program, a child must be a NSW resident, enrolled in a primary or secondary school in NSW in 2023 and listed on a valid Medicare card.
