‘Tis the season to line up for hours with tired, cranky children so you get get a Santa photo for the grandparents, am I right? But it’s a lovely tradition, so even though the process is generally a bit tough at times, we all love the smiling cherubs that beam up at us from those photos that we get to keep year after year.
Hot tip: Turn up first thing in the morning and your wait time should be next to nothing. Bonus: Santa won’t be over it yet either.
Santaland – Myer Centre
A crowd favourite, Santa in the Myer Centre is a Brisbane institution. It doesn’t hurt that you can also knock off a fair swat of your shopping at Myer while you’re there. And Santaland is a magical space the kids will love, complete with little train. Don’t forget to check out the Christmas display in the Myer windows too.

One benefit of David Jones is that you can book your session online, so no waiting in a massive queue. Also, Queens Plaza is a rad place for mum to pick up something spesh for herself for Christmas (let’s face it, it’s the only way you can guarantee something decent).
