The Calyx offers an immersive experience that brings plants, art and innovation together, boasting one of the largest green walls in the southern hemisphere and stunning seasonal horticultural displays.

The current exhibition, Alchemy of a Rainforest, invites families to wander through a lush display of tropical and subtropical plants, with more than 18,000 specimens on show.

Kids will love the larger-than-life installations and be immersed in a sensory experience that sparks their imagination while highlighting the importance of rainforest ecosystems.

For curious little outdoor adventurers, Royal Botanic Garden Sydney offers its enchanting Seedlings program - immersive sessions designed for preschoolers that incorporate a beautiful blend of storytelling, sensory play and hands-on discovery.

Perfect for children aged 2.5 to 5 years, the program aims to inspire creativity, confidence, and connection with nature, and also features a special First Nations-led session each term, giving families a meaningful opportunity to learn about Country.

When:   Thursdays until 18 June 2026 | 10 am -12 pm
Cost:     Casual visits are $21 per child per session; Term Passes are $147 per child
