Taronga Zoo
Sydney’s Taronga Zoo is one of the most famous animal parks in the world and one of Sydney’s best activities for children, and it won't take you long to understand why. The elevated harbour view is spectacular, and the juxtaposition between the animals and the city skyline is awesome.
A Family Adventure Awaits at Sydney's Taronga Zoo
Going to the Zoo is guaranteed to be one of the most fun things to do with kids in Sydney. We recommend hopping on a ferry and making a real day trip of your visit.
There are also plenty of adorable baby animals to visit, an Amphibian and Reptile Experience, the Seals for the Wild Presentation and the Free Flight Birds Presentation.
In addition to the great daily shows and Keeper Talks for families, Taronga Zoo’s Wild Ropes is a brilliant activity for little adventurers, and the famous Roar n Snore overnight stay at the Zoo is Sydney’s ultimate sleepover. Plus, Taronga Zoo hosts special family-friendly events throughout the year.
There is plenty to see, so give yourself plenty of time to explore all the enclosures to avoid disappointment.
The Zoo’s Concert Lawns provide a great place to picnic while taking in the panoramic views of Sydney Harbour. There are also a variety of food and beverage outlets if you would like to buy food on site. Stroller hire is available, and all paths are pram-friendly. Unisex parents’ room onsite.
Access for everyone: The Access Taronga program
Taronga Zoo is committed to providing a welcoming experience for all guests, including those with autism or other hidden disabilities.
