Northbridge Baths

Is the Northbridge Baths the best in Sydney? With loads of space for the kids to play in, shallow water for splashing about in as well as lanes for swimming laps, sun lounges set under the shade of lovely old trees, a kiosk with decent coffee, gas bbqs and even lifeguards patrolling – it’s hard to imagine a better set up for a lazy summer’s day.

Northbridge Baths is an enclosed area of beach and water in serene and picturesque Middle Harbour. You can pull up a sun lounge and relax with a snack or an ice cream from the full service kiosk or bring your own lunch and enjoy a picnic or bbq while taking in the view.

There is a swimming club that runs Learn to Swim classes and for older kids, kayaks are available for hire. Lucky kayakers may get a glimpse of the local seal who lives in Northbridge’s bays. There’s a free carpark on Widgiewa Road just above the baths, though it can be tough to get a spot on a sunny day.
