Drummoyne Swimming Centre
There are loads of reasons why families in Sydney keep heading back to Drummoyne Swimming Centre for sunny days by the water and good vibes that last long after you've left!
Drummoyne Swimming Centre is Big Fun for Little (and Big) Swimmers
Tucked into the heart of Drummoyne near the waterfront, this community favourite brings together all the best bits of a summer swim without the hassle of a beach trip, so kids can splash, play and chase each other through the water while adults soak up the sunshine or swim some laps. The lively atmosphere kicks off as soon as you walk through the gates - giggles from the toddlers' splash zone mix with the excited squeals of bigger kids on the twists and turns of the water slide.
Facilities at Drummoyne Swimming Centre
There's plenty to keep everyone busy. The large heated outdoor pool makes cooling off a breeze and is perfect for freestyle laps or gentle floating. Little ones find their groove in the shallow area, where they can practice kicking and paddling at their own pace. During the warmer months, the water slide adds an extra burst of fun that keeps even the most energetic children entertained.
Alongside the main pool, you'll find plenty of space to relax; grassy patches and shaded spots invite picnics and towel-spread chill time after a swim, and families often claim their favourite sun patch for post-swim snacks and water breaks.
Facilities are thoughtful and practical. There are clean changerooms that make getting ready before and after simple, and shaded seating areas where you can catch your breath or keep an eye on swimmers without squinting in the sun. The centre's café serves up cold drinks and treats, perfect for a post-splash reward, and parking nearby or a short stroll from public transport means arriving isn’t a stress, even with bags, towels and floaties in tow.
Swimming Lessons
Swim lessons run throughout the week, so jumping into the water can also be an opportunity to build confidence and skills together. Whether kids are just learning to paddle or are already gliding through laps, there's a program to suit different ages and abilities.
