A New Family-Friendly Destination is Coming to South West Sydney

South West Sydney is getting a rather swish new place to stay and play, and this one has family weekend away written all over it.

Atura Oran Park is preparing to open in late 2026 in the heart of Oran Park Town Centre, bringing 184 hotel rooms, a large outdoor swimming pool and terrace, restaurant and bar, event spaces and dedicated family accommodation to one of Sydney's fastest-growing pockets.

Even better for local families, you won't need to trek into the CBD to find it. The new hotel sits at 135 Podium Way, Oran Park, right in the Oran Park Podium precinct, with shops, restaurants, Oran Park Library and Oran Park Leisure Centre close by.

Everything You Need to Know About Atura Hotel Oran Park

Forget beige airport-hotel energy. Atura is known for its bold, contemporary style, and the Oran Park hotel is drawing inspiration from the suburb's famous motor-racing history.

Inside will be 184 rooms, ranging from the standard Roomy rooms through to larger Homey options, rooms overlooking the pool and accommodation specifically designed for families.

Downstairs, guests will find a restaurant and bar alongside the pool and outdoor terrace, creating a space designed to attract locals for meals and drinks as well as travellers checking in for the night.

Is Atura Oran Park Family-Friendly?

It certainly appears to be.

One of the biggest ticks for families is Atura's dedicated Family Rooms, which are actually made up of two interconnecting hotel rooms. That means families get two king beds, two bathrooms with walk-in showers, separate lounge space and two TVs, while still being able to keep everyone together. There's also a mini fridge, complimentary tea and coffee, Wi-Fi and plenty of charging points for the inevitable family collection of devices.

For families travelling with older kids in particular, having two proper rooms and two bathrooms could be a very welcome change from squeezing everyone into one standard hotel room.

The hotel's main amenities also include family rooms, a restaurant, room service and 24-hour reception.

There's a Big Outdoor Swimming Pool

Now for the bit likely to catch the kids' attention.

Atura Oran Park will have an outdoor swimming pool and terrace, with some rooms even available specifically with pool views. This is a place for guests to linger, with the restaurant and bar located downstairs nearby.

Atura Hotels are known to offer Book For Day Use options, so families might be able to sneak in a pool day getaway in the warmer months!

Eating at Atura Oran Park

You won't necessarily have to be staying overnight to check out the new hotel's food scene.

Atura is positioning the hotel as somewhere locals can visit in its own right, with a restaurant and bar on the ground floor alongside the pool and terrace. The dining offering is locally inspired, with a signature Italian-style restaurant and bar.

And because the hotel sits within Oran Park Town Centre, there'll be plenty more places to grab coffee, lunch or dinner within the surrounding precinct.

Right in the Middle of Oran Park Town Centre

Location could end up being one of Atura Oran Park's biggest family drawcards.

The hotel sits in the Oran Park Podium precinct, rather than being tucked away in an industrial or airport zone. Oran Park Library, the new leisure centre, retail and dining are all within walking distance.

It's also around 20 minutes' drive from Western Sydney International Airport, which is expected to make the hotel particularly useful for families flying in or out of Sydney's new airport once it opens.

For locals, though, we suspect the more enticing proposition might simply be checking into a family room, heading downstairs for a swim and pretending you've travelled much further than Oran Park for the weekend.

When is Atura Oran Park Opening?

The hotel's current Opening Special is available for stays from 30 October 2026.

The six-storey hotel is being developed by Greenfields in partnership with EVT, the hotel and entertainment group behind Atura, Rydges, QT and other Australian hotel brands.
