Spring is around the corner in the Southern Highlands and the 90,000 mass planted tulips in 34 tulip varieties and vast range of colours, are set to bloom, creating a fabulous background sure to please photographers, gardeners and selfie-takers alike, throughout this years Tulip Time floral festival.
The 14 day Tulip Time Festival, set in the historic Corbett Gardens in the heart of Bowral is a big draw card for Sydney day and weekend trippers being less than a 2 hour drive or train ride away.
Along with the massed tulip displays, the gardens also feature cool climate flowering annuals and blossoming mature cherry, crab apple and magnolia trees.
The 2019 theme for Tulip Time is Mary Poppins, and the exciting entertainment program and colourful displays will bring the mystical and magical nanny to life.
Daily entertainment will be provided by local choirs, dancers, bands and musicians to delight young and old. There will also be school holiday activities including plaster painting, chalk art and rides to provide special treats for the little ones.
Entry to the gardens is free for children under 12 and $12.00 per adult. On-line pre-booked prices for groups of over 20 are available at $6.00 per adult.
