The Burbs Festival

A brand new community celebration is coming to Whalan Reserve, with The Burbs Festival bringing together three much-loved local events, the Tregear, Bidwill and Willmot Festivals, into one huge day out for families!

Blacktown's New Community Celebration Lands at Whalan Reserve

Running from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday, 22 August 2026, the festival is packed with free activities to keep kids entertained all day. Head along for free amusement rides, kids' craft, hair braiding and face painting, plus a $15 fades station from Fades Dynasty for anyone after a fresh cut.

Market stalls and food trucks will line the reserve, alongside live entertainment celebrating the culture and community spirit of the local neighbourhoods. It's shaping up as one of the biggest local gatherings of the year, with more entertainment reveals still to come.
