The Bugalugs Bum Thief

Someone's nicked all the bums in Bugalugs. The kids are going to absolutely lose it!

Tim Winton's hilariously titled classic is coming to life on stage, and it's every bit as wonderfully silly as it sounds. The Bugalugs Bum Thief takes audiences on a whimsical journey through the imaginative world of Australian author Tim Winton, vividly bringing to life the colourful characters and quirky adventures from his beloved book.

About The Bugalugs Bum Thief

Set in the charming Australian town of Bugalugs, the story follows the misadventures of Skeeta Anderson, Mick Misery and Billy Marbles as they attempt to unravel the mystery of the Bugalugs bum thief. As the townsfolk band together to catch the culprit, hilarity ensues, and valuable lessons about friendship, community and understanding are learned along the way. (The bum jokes are just a bonus.)

Enhancing the theatrical experience is a live musician, with original songs that capture the essence of Tim Winton's world. Critics have already called it "bum believable fun and chuckles galore" and "a fun theatrical song and dance mystery full of adventure." Plus, it's about bums. The kids will love it.

The show runs approximately 55 minutes with no interval, and is recommended for ages 4 to 10. Note that the production contains haze smoke and strobe lighting, so worth keeping in mind for sensitive little ones. Infants may sit on a guardian's lap free of charge, and all children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
