In Australia for the first time after delighting audiences across Europe, Joshua Monten Dance Company presents an introduction to contemporary dance for theatre lovers aged 8+.

Direct from Switzerland to Sydney, Game Theory is a fast-paced, funny and vibrant celebration of play, sport and big emotions, presented through the clever and captivating medium of dance. Exploring the highs and lows of playing games, this season will encourage you to look at dance from a whole new perspective.

Game Theory

Before dance became art, it was a game. Everyone loves a game…

Game Theory is a playful and joyous 45-minute dance performance that explores the fundamental building blocks of play and games - big emotions, freedom and rules, adrenaline and flow.

Gaming is a source of inspiration for Joshua Monten and his dancers. They focused on the spontaneous beauty of movements that arise amid the flow of an intensely played game to create this unique live performance. Dancers move beautifully through capoeira, table tennis, and Twister, inspired by the language of sport and competitive games.

Game Theory is on for a very limited season this May. Don't miss it - book now!
