Step inside TOO~B by HOSSEI for a new kind of playtime at the Sydney Opera House! TOO~B is a free immersive installation where art and imagination collide. Blending sculpture, costume and sound, this vibrant play space invites kids aged 0–12 to move, explore and create in a surreal, sensory world inspired by the Persian, Turkish and Russian heritage of contemporary artist HOSSEI.

TOO~B by HOSSEI: Free Immersive Kids Play Space at Sydney Opera House

Discover a world where art, play and imagination collide! TOO~B, the latest immersive installation at the Sydney Opera House, invites kids to explore a surreal playground dreamed up by contemporary Australian artist HOSSEI.

Created especially for children aged 0–12 (and their grown-ups), TOO~B transforms playtime into a multi-sensory adventure. Think soft, stretchy forms, bursts of colour, soundscapes, and sculptural surprises that encourage kids to move, imagine and create in their own wonderfully weird ways. It’s art you can crawl into, climb over, and become part of.

Rooted in HOSSEI’s Persian, Turkish and Russian heritage, this dreamlike space blurs the lines between sculpture, costume and sound, celebrating creativity, cultural expression and childlike curiosity. Here, children are free to become anything—or nothing at all—in a space that bends the rules of reality and turns imagination into something you can actually touch.

Each self-led 45-minute play session is completely free and designed to let little ones lead the way. Parents can relax and watch as their children shape their own playful adventure through this otherworldly landscape of art and sound.

Perfect for a summer’s day at the Opera House, TOO~B is not just a play space - it’s an experience that invites every child to dream, move and create in glorious, unstructured freedom

TOO~B by HOSSEI is recommended for ages 0-12 and parents/carers (16+). Children must be supervised by a parent or carer during the session. Thursday and Friday 10 am workshops are recommended for ages 0-2 only.
