A community celebration of steam and nostalgia—the quaint village of Thirlmere will be brought to life by the enchanting sound of the steam whistle for the 30th annual Thirlmere Festival of Steam this March.

On Sunday 1st March, the NSW Rail Museum will be open with steam train rides, blacksmith demonstrations, driver's cab visits, a steam and vintage park, mini-train rides and more. Thirlmere will be abuzz with over 100 market stalls, live performances, a vintage car show, street parade and all the activities at the NSW Rail Museum—including the much-loved steam train rides. 

Visiting the Thirlmere Festival of Steam precinct is FREE. however, additional activities located within the NSW Rail Museum—including steam train rides—are ticketed. Don't miss this must-see festival for all mini rail enthusiasts!
