If your family outings are due for a little extra colour, the latest Sunflowers and Swirls installation at The Grounds of Alexandria is ready to deliver.

Sunflowers and Swirls Has Landed at The Grounds

The Grounds' famous laneways have been completely reimagined with Sunflowers and Swirls, a vivid, immersive installation inspired by the expressive brushstrokes of Vincent van Gogh. Discover bold yellows, deep blues and swirling textures that will make you feel like you've wandered straight into a living painting.

Kids can roam wide-eyed through the colour-drenched pathways, while grown-ups linger just a little longer, lining up that perfect photo. Every corner reveals a new detail, making it easy to slow down and take it all in.
 

As always, The Grounds commits to a theme in full, which includes the food. The limited-edition menu is just as playful as the installation, with highlights like the Sunflower Power dessert (a citrusy almond sponge topped with a hand-painted sunflower) and the Starry Bite, layered with berries, custard and a swirl of white chocolate ganache. There's even a bright, tropical Sunflower Soda for the kids (complete with a keepsake faux sunflower), while adults can opt for the Starry Eyed cocktail if date night happens to be on the cards.

Best Way to Experience Sunflowers and Swirls at The Grounds

By day, book into The Cafe, The Garden or The Potting Shed and you'll be able to wander straight into the laneways after your meal — no waiting required. 

By night, things shift into a more atmospheric glow. The installation is reserved for guests dining at The Potting Shed, making it feel a little more special (and a great option if you're planning an evening outing with older kids).

Either way, booking ahead is your best bet — this is one of those installations that tends to draw a crowd!
