Spotlight Prowl at Centennial Park

When the sun goes down, Centennial Park turns into a whole different neighbourhood, and the locals get a lot furrier (and winged, and occasionally upside-down).

Spotlight Prowl at Centennial Park

The Spotlight Prowl at Centennial Park is your after-dark invitation to step into the secret nightlife of the park, where brushtail possums rule the trees, microbats zip through the sky like tiny superheroes, tawny frogmouths perfect the art of looking exactly like a branch, and one of Sydney’s largest colonies of grey-headed flying-foxes hangs out like it owns the place (because, honestly, it kind of does).

Led by the park’s expert Rangers, this guided spotlight walk reveals how the park transforms completely after daylight hours end. Spot glowing eyes in the trees, listen to mysterious rustles in the bushes, and learn fascinating animal facts.

Meet at: Robertson Road Gates
Bring: comfy enclosed shoes, warm layers (night gets chilly!), a torch for spotting critters, a camera (no flash — the animals are not paparazzi fans), waterproof gear just in case, and most importantly, your sense of adventure!

Visit Centennial Park for more details and to book your spot.
