Celebrate Winter at South Eveleigh, Australia’s premier technology precinct, at a month-long celebration filled with immersive experiences combining entertainment, technology, education, food, and social responsibility.

Get ready to warm up your winter, Sydney! The South Eveleigh Winter Series is coming to town for a celebration that will showcase the colourful spirit of the community.

Over four jam-packed weeks, South Eveleigh will transform into a vibrant cultural festival bursting with interactive experiences for all ages.

What's On At South Eveleigh Winter Series?

Brick Works Exhibit and Playzone

From 15 - 17 August, Eveleigh Works will be a playground of pure imagination. Be immersed in a LEGO^® wonderland with larger-than-life displays and interactive play areas. Watch award-winning Australian brick artist Kale Frost create a custom masterpiece of Eveleigh’s iconic Locomotive Workshop. 

Byte Wise - A Questacon Exhibition

Explore 24 mind-boggling exhibits from 7 - 10 August located at the Locomotive Workshop Central corridor and along Locomotive Street. Designed to ignite curiosity and deepen understanding of computational thinking, the exhibition explores key themes including programming, algorithms, patterns, irrational numbers, measurement, geometry, logic, and problem-solving.

Silent Cinema Series

Use the ellaslist code and save! Every Saturday, South Eveleigh will host its first Silent Cinema Series where you can catch a movie at Eveleigh Works! A kids-only film will screen at 5:30 pm with professional childcare and a meal deal (box of chicken nuggets and chips, popcorn and juice) for just $30 with CODE: ELLASLIST10 - parents can leave the kids and explore South Eveleigh! A FREE family-friendly film will follow at 8 pm. Silent headphones and bean bags are provided! See the movie schedule below.

Food and Drinks

South Eveleigh’s Locomotive Street has been lovingly restored into a vibrant strip of eateries! Enjoy a new Indonesian menu at Whitton, modern Thai at Pepper Seed Thai, or a famous milkshake at Anita’s Gelato.

Plus, every Sunday, Brewdog South Eveleigh hosts a ‘Pooch Portrait’ session with complimentary dog portraits and photo booths. On Wednesday 28 August at Interchange Pavillion, South Eveleigh will also host puppy playtime.

Fashion Forward

From 23 - 25 August, PUSHAS brings the hottest sneakers and streetwear to South Eveleigh. Explore rare collections, enjoy free sneaker cleaning sessions, compete in contests, and groove to DJ entertainment.

Bike Tune-Up Station

On 6 and 20 August, visit the Mitchell Way tune-up station for free bike checks for both kids' and adults' bikes, plus e-bike safety checks, advice, tips and demonstrations from Ben Buckler Boards.

South Eveleigh Rooftop Garden

The award-winning South Eveleigh Rooftop Garden will host talks every Tuesday from 12 - 1 pm. Hear transformative stories from local heroes like Ren Fernando of ReLove, a charity that supports women and children moving out of crisis, and Rob Caslick of Two Good Co, a social enterprise that supports women who have experienced domestic violence, giving them pathways to employment.
