Sydney Jewish Museum School Holiday Workshops

This April, discover the magic of ancient Egypt at SJM Kids at the Sydney Jewish Museum in Darlinghurst.

The Sydney Jewish Museum in Darlinghurst will turn into an immersive play space for children of all ages during these school holidays. From building a mini pyramid to crafting their own amulet, musical instrument or unique piece of jewellery, the Museum’s children’s programs will explore the sights and sounds of ancient Egypt and the Jewish story of Passover.

Led by expert educators in an enchanting ancient Egyptian setting, each workshop and storytelling activity offers a chance to explore artefacts in the museum’s collection in a meaningful and age-appropriate way.

Whether your child is discovering a new culture or celebrating their heritage, SJM Kids activities are created for families of all faiths and backgrounds.

Build a Mini Pyramid
Ages 5+

Meet a Living Historian
Ages 8+

Passover Storytime
Ages 2 to 8
Wednesday 17 April
10 am – 12 pm (ages 2 to 4)
2 pm – 4 pm (ages 5 to 8)

Create a Musical Instrument
Ages 5+
Thursday 18 April
10 am – 12 pm

Passover, Freedom and Slavery
Ages 5+
Friday 19 April
10 am – 12 pm

Make an Ancient Egyptian Amulet
Ages 5+
Sunday 21 April
10 am – 12 pm

Bookings are essential. Tickets include entry to the Museum as well as the interactive workshop. Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.
