R U OK? Day 2025

Mark your calendar for Thursday 11 September, as Australia comes together for R U OK? Day—a national day of action, reminding us all to check in on the people around us. The message is simple but powerful: A conversation could change a life.

R U OK? Day 2025

Across the country, schools, workplaces and communities will host activities, workshops and morning teas to raise awareness about mental health and the importance of connection.

Parents can get involved by encouraging kids to practise kindness, talking openly about feelings at home, and learning how to ask “Are you OK?” in age-appropriate ways.

Helpful resources are available online at R U OK?, including free conversation guides for parents, tips on supporting children and teens, and classroom activities that schools can use to get kids talking.

Whether it’s a neighbour, a colleague, a friend or your own child—R U OK? Day is a reminder to pause, ask the question, and really listen.
