Paper Daisy Spring Festival
Spring is about to put on one seriously pretty show at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan, with the Paper Daisy Spring Festival returning from 4 September to 11 October 2026.
At the heart of the festival is Sydney's biggest paper daisy display, transforming the Connections Garden into a colourful carpet of native blooms. The daisies are expected to be at their best from late August through to mid-to-late September, so flower fans may want to visit earlier in the festival to catch them in full bloom.
What's On at Sydney's Paper Daisy Spring Festival
Flowers & Activities
Plenty is happening beyond the flowers, especially if you visit over a weekend.
Families can stretch out on Lakeside Lawn while local musicians perform, challenge each other to giant Jenga and Connect Four, and stop by the florist pop-up to make a posy jar or pick up a fresh bouquet.
Saturdays also bring free kids' craft activities, while floral face painting will be available on Saturdays and Sundays for $5 per child.
Creative types can book a Paint Among the Paper Daisies session with Pinot & Picasso, with family and children's workshops inviting budding artists to decorate a round canvas or tote bag inspired by the surrounding blooms.
Workshops cost $65 for adults and $45 for children, including materials.
Food & Drinks
There'll also be plenty of opportunities for a springtime snack, with coffee, gelato, burgers, gozleme and kids' meals available across the Gardens Café, Bar Coco and the festival food truck.
A spring pop-up shop will run from 4-21 September, selling paper daisy-inspired gifts, notebooks, tote bags and more.
Make a Day of It
Families can easily turn a flower-spotting mission into a full day out. The Garden's Playground is right near the café and comes packed with nature-inspired climbing, balancing and exploring opportunities.
From 11 September, visitors can also explore the new Muru Nangamai/Pathway to Dreaming Walk, a cultural experience combining poetry, language and art with a walk to the Mount Annan summit and its sweeping views.
