New England Steam Tour 2023: A Historic Railway Adventure

Don't miss the incredible New England Steam Tour from 11 to 20 August 2023. 

Experience the glorious return of steam to the New England region with historic NSW Government Railways steam locomotives 3265 and 3526, fondly known as the "English express locomotives".
This unique event allows you to embark on 1.5-hour return steam train rides from Tamworth and Armidale. Or, why not take a one-way trip from Maitland to Werris Creek, or Werris Creek to Armidale? Every trip brings with it an opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty and history of the NSW railways.

Choose from a variety of seating options, including open saloon seating, private compartments accommodating up to six people, or, for those wanting to take in the sights, enjoy access to an open viewing platform within our observation carriage.
