Jimmy Rees Reads Ollie And The Spectral Spectacles

Jimmy Rees will be doing a live book reading of his new book Spectral Spectacles, a children’s book which aims to help parents teach their kids about how to be financially savvy and sustainably minded. 

It's a joint venture with online marketplace Gumtree, who decided to launch the book after finding that 67% of Australian parents believe their children only know the basics when it comes to financial literacy. 

Author, Jimmy Rees said, “As a parent, I believe passing on a solid understanding of the value of things and ways to save the planet is one of my greatest responsibilities. This is why I am so passionate about this book
and its message. It was a lot of fun working with Gumtree to give parents like myself a tool to make a complex, yet important topic fun, relatable and simple for kids to understand. Knowledge is the foundation for setting our kids up for success.” 

To celebrate the book’s launch, Jimmy will be holding a reading of Ollie and the Spectral Spectacles on Thursday 26 August 2021 via GumtreeandOllie.com.au at 4pm AEST.
