Jannali Moonrise Festival 2026

Jannali is getting ready to light up the Sutherland Shire with the return of the Jannali Moonrise Festival 2026, bringing a day of FREE entertainment and family fun to the streets on Saturday 7 November 2026!

For one day only, the heart of Jannali will be transformed into a lively festival precinct, with live performances, kids' workshops, delicious street food and plenty of surprises for little festival-goers. And with special appearances from Bluey and Bingo, this year's celebration is shaping up to be a big hit with Sydney families!

Bluey and Bingo Are Coming to Jannali!

Wackadoo! Everyone's favourite blue heelers are heading to the Jannali Moonrise Festival for two special appearances!

Little Bluey fans can catch Bluey and Bingo between 3.30 pm and 3.55 pm, and again from 4.30 pm to 4.55 pm, so have those cameras ready!

The kids' entertainment continues throughout the afternoon with princess meet-and-greets, giant bubbles, balloon twisting, face painting and a magic show.

FREE Kids' Workshops and Activities

Families can get stuck into a fantastic selection of FREE activities, including cupcake and biscuit decorating, bracelet making, colouring workshops and more.

For kids with energy to burn, there's also mini golf and laser tag, while younger festival-goers can enjoy soft play activities.

As the afternoon rolls on, the Moonrise Stage will host a dance party at 6 pm, followed by a silent disco at 6.30 pm.

Live Entertainment and Cultural Celebrations

The festival takes its name from the Aboriginal word Jannali, meaning "place of the moon," and celebrates the area's First Nations heritage through a cultural ceremony and community performances.

Across two entertainment spaces, Moonrise Plaza on Box Road and Sunset Square at the Jannali Town Centre Car Park, families can enjoy live music and performances from local talent.

There's plenty happening on the Moonrise Stage, including dance performances, a magic show and family entertainment, while the Sunset Stage will keep the tunes rolling throughout the afternoon.

Keep an eye out for roving performers too, including giant bubble artists and illuminated LED jugglers.

Food Trucks, Markets and More

Sunset Square will buzz with food trucks serving tasty treats, alongside artisan market stalls and a dedicated licensed area for grown-ups.

Local businesses will also join the celebrations with extended trading hours, pop-up stalls and special activities, so there's plenty of opportunity to explore the Jannali village atmosphere.
