ICF Slalom World Championships Sydney 2025: Whitewater Action Hits Penrith This Spring

This spring school holidays, the ICF Slalom World Championships, presented by Paddle Australia, will transform Penrith Whitewater Stadium into a roaring stage of whitewater brilliance. It’s the biggest Canoe Slalom event in Australia in over 20 years!

From 29 September to 4 October, Australia’s top canoe slalom athletes will take on the world’s best paddlers, and you can be there to cheer them on, including Olympic Kayak Cross Champion, Noemie Fox.

Get ready for a splash of world-class action as the 2025 ICF Slalom World Championships races into Penrith Whitewater Stadium during the spring school holidays – the perfect excuse for a family day out with a twist.

Over 300 athletes from 50 countries – including Paris Olympians Noemie Fox, Tim Anderson and Tristan Carter – will battle it out to be crowned the world’s best in Canoe Slalom and the thrilling Kayak Cross event, across six jam-packed days.

Watch the action unfold with tight turns, roaring rapids and lightning-fast paddling as competitors navigate upstream and downstream gates, dodge penalties and fight for the fastest time.

• 29 September – Opening Ceremony + Kayak Cross Individual & Medals
• 30 September – Canoe Heats + Canoe Team Final & Medals
• 1 October – Kayak Heats + Kayak Team Final & Medals
• 2 October – Canoe Semi Finals, Finals & Medals
• 3 October – Kayak Semi Finals, Finals & Medals
• 4 October – Closing Ceremony + Kayak Cross Repechage, Heats, Finals & Medals
