Explorers Playgroup

Tiny humans, big adventures — Explorers Playgroup is where curious little minds go to wiggle, giggle, learn, and occasionally come home covered in glitter (and very proud of it).

Explorers Playgroup at North Sydney Community Centre

Running rain, hail, or shine — because toddlers don't check the weather forecast — this playful, nurturing playgroup is designed for kids under five and the grown-ups who follow them around, carrying snacks, hats, and emergency wipes.

Every week brings a brand-new theme, so one day your child might be a scientist making very serious discoveries, the next a pirate searching for treasure, a doctor fixing teddy bears, or a train driver shouting "ALL ABOARD!" with great authority.

Expect a full morning of fun, including storytime and sing-alongs at 10.30 am, squishy playdough creations, colourful craft, puzzles, painting (weather permitting and mess guaranteed), and plenty of imaginative play. There's soft play for climbing, a cosy reading corner for quiet moments, and outdoor fun with sandpit digging and little cars zooming around like tiny Formula 1 drivers.

For the littlest explorers, there's also a calm baby room with sensory toys and a peaceful space for cuddles, crawls, and the occasional dramatic baby monologue.
