The Enchanted Sanctuary Lights Up This Autumn

If the words 'school holidays' and 'after-dark adventures' light up your kids' faces, clear the family calendar because The Enchanted Sanctuary is about to glow!

In April 2026, the Australian Wildlife Sanctuary in Bargo (just over an hour south-west of Sydney) swaps daylight strolls for an evening wonderland of colour, sound and native creatures that come alive under the stars.

Get ready for a dreamscape of shimmering pathways, illuminated tree canopies and artfully choreographed laser beams that dance to an ethereal soundtrack. Every twist and turn reveals new surprises — glowing gum-leaf tunnels, rainbow mist clouds and mystical themed zones that feel straight out of a storybook.

While the lighting steals the show, the real stars are the sanctuary's night-loving residents. Spot sugar gliders leaping between branches and watch shy echidnas waddle beneath moon-lit shrubs. Knowledgeable rangers pop up along the route to share quirky facts ("platypus glow under UV light!") and answer every curious question little explorers can throw their way.
