VIVID Sydney 2026: What's On

If Sydney at night got a personality upgrade, it would be Vivid Sydney — the annual glow-up where the whole city becomes one giant art installation. Running from 22 May to 13 June 2026, the festival once again turns Sydney into a playground of light, music, ideas and food, with immersive projections on the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, pop-up art installations, live music zones and foodie experiences across town.

Over more than three weeks, Sydney's iconic skyline becomes an immersive art gallery after dark with large-scale light projections and interactive installations spilling across streets, parks and buildings — from Circular Quay and The Rocks to Barangaroo, Darling Harbour and the CBD.

Alongside the free Light Walk, the festival's music programme brings a mix of global and local talent to intimate venues and larger stages, while talks and creative discussions curated through VIVID Ideas invite audiences to engage with culture, technology and future-facing thinking.

Culinary experiences woven through the event add another layer, with chefs and food creators activating spaces across the precincts.

VIVID Sydney's multi-disciplinary approach makes it a standout in the city's calendar, offering moments of spectacle and conversation that appeal to families, art lovers, night wanderers and anyone keen to see the harbour city in a new light.
