Campbelltown City Council❜s Festival of Fisher❜s Ghost

The highly anticipated Festival of Fisher's Ghost is returning to the City of Campbelltown from 2 – 12 November in honour of one of Australia’s most famous ghosts, Frederick Fisher.

With a fresh line-up of vibrant re-imagined events that will excite the whole family, including a huge carnival, roller-skating, a fun run, live music, markets and more, the city will be abuzz throughout the ten-day festival.

Trace the history of the beloved Festival back to its dark roots with the sighting of Fred’s Ghost, perhaps you will be lucky enough to see him yourself!

Carnival at Festival of Fisher's Ghost

Commuter Car Park, Leumeah will transform into a thrill seekers paradise and family fun zone as the Carnival returns to Fisher’s Ghost. There will be thrilling rides including the NSW debut of a new DC Comics ride, sideshow alley, show bags, delicious food and much more. 

Don't miss the spectacular fireworks display at 9 pm on Saturdays during the carnival. There is also a low sensory session available at the Carnival on Sunday 5 November from 10 am until Midday applications are open until the session is full.

Retro Rollin' at Festival of Fisher's Ghost

Bust out your skates and get decked out in your craziest roller-skating attire for an old-school roller-skating session.

There will be two rinks - one for beginners (with friendly professional coaches on hand) and another for seasoned skaters. A DJ will be rocking out tunes every afternoon and roving performers will be showing off their moves.

Fisher's Twilight Fair at Festival of Fisher's Ghost

Get your tote bag ready for an exciting collection of artisan products, show bags and festival favourites from a wide variety of market stalls that will line Queens Street, Campbelltown and Mawson Park. The whole family will be entertained with a DJ and live stage performances roving entertainment and activities, inflatables and face painting, especially for the kids.

There will also be a chill-out area to relax take in the park atmosphere and a variety of food and dessert trucks to delight your tastebuds!

Fisher's Ghost Writing Prize

Calling all Campbelltown writers! Now’s your chance to put on your thinking caps and tune into the theme of ‘A Voice from the Shadows’. Enter your short stories, narrative non-fiction, memoirs or poetry, to win up to $300.

Sunset Sounds at Festival of Fisher's Ghost

Bring your picnic blanket and your besties, for the chill vibes and beats of Sunset Sounds. Fisher’s Ghost Festival’s own music festival at Campbelltown Athletics Stadium on Saturday 11 November. Tickets are just $15 for 16+ and free for kids 15 and under. This is awesome value for this year's huge stage line-up.

The amazing line-up includes Australian hard rock band Baby Animals and country rock band The Wolfe Brothers.

Fisher's Kids Yomise

Fishers Kid is a family-friendly celebration of Japanese art and culture held exclusively within Campbelltown Arts Centre’s beautiful Japanese Garden. The event will showcase a dynamic selection of workshops, stalls, installations and performances exploring the Yomise theme after Japanese night markets,

Fisher’s Ghost Fun Run

Dust off those running shoes! Whether you’re a competitive runner or just want to enjoy a fun walk with family and friends, you'll have until 10 am to complete either the 5km or 10km race.

Fisher’s Ghost Art Award

Now in its 61st year, our annual art award invites artists to submit their works in a variety of categories and mediums for the chance to win. There is over $60,000 in prize money to be won!

Art After Dark Trail

In celebration of Campbelltown Central Business District’s iconic Public Art and the 2023 Festival of Fishers Ghost, the Art After Dark Trail is an Augmented Reality Public Art program that invites people of all ages to take a stroll through the lively city and discover its thriving artists, cultures and stories.

Dogs in the Park at Fisher's Ghost

Spoil your furry friend and take your pup for a fun day out at Milton Park! Enjoy pet-related stalls, food vendors, dog competitions and demonstrations.
