Festival of Fisher’s Ghost 2025: Campbelltown’s Spookiest Family Festival

Campbelltown’s most iconic celebration is back! Inspired by the legendary tale of Fred Fisher’s ghost, the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost has been a much-loved tradition since 1956, and the 2025 program is bigger and brighter than ever.

This year, the festivities will run from Thursday 30 October to Sunday 9 November, filling the city with colour and culture, plus thrilling amusement rides, sideshow games, food stalls and spectacular fireworks shows!

Festival of Fisher’s Ghost 2025: Campbelltown’s Spookiest Family Festival

The Festival of Fisher’s Ghost is back in 2025, bringing 11 days of community spirit, family fun and a dash of spooky folklore to Campbelltown. The beloved family-friendly event brings carnival favourites, live entertainment, fireworks, art, markets and more into one huge celebration that kids and parents look forward to every year.

Fisher’s Ghost Carnival

The action kicks off on Thursday 30 October with the Fisher’s Ghost Carnival at Campbelltown Showground. Families can enjoy amusement rides, classic sideshow games, delicious food stalls and jaw-dropping fireworks displays on Saturday 1 November and Saturday 8 November.

Fisher’s Twilight Streets

Campbelltown City Centre transforms into a glowing wonderland for Fisher’s Twilight Streets on Saturday 1 November and Sunday 2 November, with a showstopping lighting display in Mawson Park, lively markets, roaming performers, stage entertainment and plenty of kids’ activities. Music lovers can also cheer on their favourites in the Battle of the Bands, with local groups rocking the main stage and the top three acts closing out the night on Saturday. 

Fisher’s Twilight Rooftop Cinema

Movie fans are in for a treat with two nights of free film screenings under the stars at the Fisher’s Twilight Rooftop Cinema. Head to Campbelltown RSL Rooftop Carpark from 4 pm to 10 pm and settle in for an open-air cinema experience with three fantastic films on the big screen, set against a backdrop of twinkling festoon lights to create the perfect atmosphere. Foodie Lane will be available along Lithgow Street, where you'll find delicious food and sweet treats.

Fisher’s Ghost Fun Run

Lace up the joggers for the Marsdens Law Group Fisher’s Ghost Fun Run on Sunday 9 November. The event starts at Western Sydney University and TAFE campuses, with both 5km and 10km courses on offer. Whether you’re a competitive runner or just want to enjoy a jog with family and friends, it’s a fun way to wrap up the festival.

Soak up the magic, mystery, and joy that have made the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost a true Campbelltown tradition.
