Bondi Winter Magic is back on Thursday 28 June to Sunday 29 July and Bondi will once again be transformed into Sydney’s winter playground by the sea! A magical blend of art, music, culture and history. 

Go for a twirl on the famous beachside ice rink or check out the 360 degree view of the iconic Bondi Beach from the 22-metre ferris wheel, Bondi Vista. Whether you’re looking to admire the city skyline, ice-skate with a spectacular view or stroll through Bondi’s history, Bondi Winter Magic is fun for all ages.

Ice Rink
The unique Bondi ice rink is one of Bondi’s most popular attractions during winter. Where else can you skate in sunshine on under the stars whilst listening to the sounds of waves crashing onto the beach? To book tickets visit the website

  • Learn to Skate classes $29 (1hr lesson + free 10am session on same day). The Learn to skate will be every Saturday at 9am.
  • Ice Show Performances - Each Saturday 5.45pm
  • Ice Hockey Demonstrations - Each Sunday 5.45pm

Bondi Vista
Visitors can get 360 degree views of the iconic Bondi Beach from a 22 metre high ferris wheel. Bondi Vista pairs incredible views with thrills for all ages. Tickets available online or onsite.

When:      Mon - Sun at 9am – 10pm, between 28 June - 29 July.
Cost:        Single ride: $7pp. 4 people can ride for $25. FREE under 2yrs


Bondi Snow Globe
Step inside Bondi’s giant, inflatable snow globe with a difference. The perfect place for that winter family photo! Share your magical moments on Instagram using the hashtag #waverleycouncil

Bondi History Walks
Lead by local historian, Lawrie Williams, discover Bondi’s glorious and not so glorious past as you are guided around the hidden gems of Bondi. Each walk is approximately 2 hours long with some hills but not too strenuous.
Where:     Bondi Town Centre
When:      July Sundays (8,15, 22 and 29)
Cost:        $10 (+ booking fee). Booking essential. 


Art Trail 
Art Trail provides the opportunity for emerging artists to exhibit their work outdoors in Bondi’s Roscoe Street Mall. Visitors will have the chance to pick up original pieces from over 30 artists and photographers for as little as $30. Visitors will be encouraged to contribute their own artistry to the day by filling the surrounding streets with chalk art.

Music on the Streets
Cruise, jive or tap-dance around Bondi to the sound of buskers of every genre, on every street corner, doorway and lane playing their hearts out for charity. The day will feature amateur and professional musicians, school choirs, orchestras, musical families, solo performers and garage bands. If you love music then join us for this fun family event.

Bondi Feast
Bondi Feast is back!  Celebrating all the best in theatre, comedy, cabaret, circus music, visual arts and food. Transforming Bondi Pavilion into a carnival playground, Bondi Feast will showcase over 100 performances of work across two delectable weeks of feasting with pop-up kitchen and mulled cider pumping from bar each night of the festival.

School Holiday Program
The program includes both free and paid activities for children at Waverley Library, the Bondi Pavilion, the Margaret Whitlam Recreation Centre and workshops presented by the Waverley Woollahra Art School. Before booking, read the guidelines as each venue has different requests and you and your child need to be aware of these specific requirements. Please click HERE to view the guidelines.
