This May, Blacktown is the place to be! The much-anticipated Blacktown City Festival is back and bigger than ever in 2026, with an epic lineup of events you won't want to miss.

Throughout the month, there will be events for everyone, including the Blacktown City Medieval Fayre, Streets Alive and Parade Day, plus exciting new events!

Blacktown City Festival 2026

Join the celebration as Blacktown City Festival returns with a month-long extravaganza of events, performances, and community spirit throughout May.

From medieval jousts to sweet indulgences, the entire month is decked out with a mix of free and ticketed events showcasing everything from music and culture to sports and laughs.

Family-Friendly Festival Highlights

Vibes by the Lake
Sunday 3 May 2026 | 12:00 pm -  5:00 pm | FREE
Pack a picnic and relax to the soulful sounds of Western Sydney's favourite bands at this family-friendly event in beautiful Nurragingy Reserve. 

Riverstone Festival
Saturday 9 May 2026 | 9:00 am -  3:00 pm | FREE
Riverstone’s biggest community festival of the year will be a sensory delight with mouth-watering food stalls, unique market vendors, live performances, free amusement rides, kids' activities and workshops. 

Blacktown City Medieval Fayre
Saturday 16 & Sunday 17 May 2026 | 10:00 am -  4:00 pm | $10 pp. Kids 3 and under FREE
Step back in time at Nurragingy Reserve and behold knights in shining armour, jousting tournaments and medieval displays, plus enjoy themed food and crafts.​

Sweet Indulgence Dessert Festival
Friday 22 May 2026 | 4:00 pm -  9:00 pm | FREE
Satisfy your sweet tooth at the Village Green with a delectable array of desserts, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.​

Streets Alive and Parade Day
Saturday 30 May 2026 | 9:00 am -  4:00 pm | FREE
Conclude the festival in Blacktown's CBD with a vibrant street parade, multicultural performances, market stalls, food trucks, and roving entertainers.​ There will be loads of free activities and entertainment, including henna tattoos, a petting zoo, lawn games, superheroes, stilt-walkers, roving performers, and wrestling.

With over 80,000 attendees expected to join the celebrations, the Blacktown City Festival 2026 will be an unforgettable experience for all ages.
