Bathurst Steam Weekend 2023: Vintage Train Rides For The Whole Family

Get ready for a journey back in time this winter! 

Brought to you by Transport Heritage NSW, the Bathurst Steam Weekend will be steaming its way to the region from Saturday, 10 June, to Monday, 12 June 2023.

Travel aboard the historic steam locomotives 3526 and 3642, marvels of NSW Government Railways heritage. Choose from a 1.5-hour ride from Bathurst to Wimbledon and back or experience a more extended half-day trip to Orange and return.

Feel the charm of yesteryears in the beautifully restored open saloon carriages, or opt for a private compartment that seats up to six people. For a unique experience, enjoy the scenery from an open viewing platform inside the observation carriage. As a bonus, all ticket holders can avail of a 20% discount on admission to the Bathurst Rail Museum.
