The Australian Chamber Orchestra’s delightful ACO Families series is back with a brand-new production, Where to Hide a Star – a beautifully staged theatrical experience based on Oliver Jeffers’ enchanting sequel.
In this heartwarming tale, we reunite with the Boy who has finally caught his Star. But holding onto something so bright isn’t easy. What follows is a moving adventure filled with daring rescues, surprising friendships, and the kind of big-hearted lessons that stay with children long after the lights go down.
Blending gentle storytelling with a breathtaking original score by Elena Kats-Chernin performed live by an ACO string quartet, Where to Hide a Star is a celebration of imagination, courage, empathy, and love.
Created for children aged 2 – 8 and their grown-ups, this 30-minute performance (plus the post-show ‘meet the musicians’ session) is the perfect way to introduce little ones to the wonder of live music and theatre. Plus, they can enjoy free creative play activities in the foyer before and after the performance, while parents can enjoy the magnificent harbour views from the foyer spaces.
