All About Women Festival 2023: Celebrating Women❜s Achievements and Gender Equality

International Women's Day is an annual celebration of women's achievements and a call to action for gender equality. For parents, it's a reminder to teach their children about respect and equality for all genders. 

This year's All About Women festival at the Sydney Opera House offers a platform for extraordinary thinkers, writers, and artists to discuss and explore vital questions about gender, equality, and justice. The program includes workshops, talks, and performances by local and international speakers. 

By attending or live streaming the event, parents can participate in an important conversation about the role of women in society and learn how to support and empower their own children, regardless of gender.

The festival runs from March 11-13, 2023, and features a mix of international and local speakers appearing in person on the iconic Sydney Opera House stages. Here's a breakdown of what to expect each day:

Day 1, Friday, 11 March

The festival kicks off with an opening night gala featuring Fatima Bhutto, Gelareh Pour, Germaine Acogny, Clare Bowditch, and Eryn Jean Norvill, hosted by Clare Bowditch.

Day 2, Saturday, 12 March 

Today's program includes a dance workshop by Bindi Bosses, panels on feminism, shame, and finding love, workshops on printmaking and clay, and conversations about topics such as the war on women, the world according to Sloane Crosley, and being Wendy Whiteley.

Day 3, Sunday, 13 March 

On the festival's final day, attendees can join panels and conversations about being actually autistic, justice on trial, matriarchies and movements, and bodies that positivity left behind. The festival concludes with a concert by Bikini Kill, featuring Kathleen Hanna, Tobi Vail, and Kathi Wilcox.
