Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Presents Disney❜s The Lion King in Concert

Get ready for a roaring good time! The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is bringing Disney's original animated classic The Lion King to life with a live performance of its beloved soundtrack against a magical film screening.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2024, the MSO will premiere Disney’s The Lion King in Concert, as it performs the Oscar^® winning songs by Elton John and Tim Rice and Oscar® winning score by Hans Zimmer, live with the big screen.

The musical journey will relive the story of Simba on his journey of discovery traveling through the Pride Lands with his colourful new friends, and immerse the audience in a wondrous celebration of this unforgettable family classic.

This is a unique concert event for the whole family where you'll have the chance to bask in the circle of life during the day or feel the love at night, with both 1 pm and 7.30 pm sessions on Saturday 3 February 2024.

Join conductor Nicholas Buc as he leads the orchestra in performing the stirring songs and creates a mesmerising musical event where you will experience The Lion King like never before.

Sing along to hits like Can You Feel the Love Tonight?, Circle of Life and Hakuna Matata - an unmissable opportunity to commemorate the 30th anniversary of a film that has captured the hearts of so many over the years.
