The Little Food Festival is Australia’s first food festival created just for kids—absolutely free and all about health, well-being, and sustainability in our food system.

This April 2025 school holidays at Melbourne’s iconic Federation Square, kids can dig in and plant seedlings, explore the world of bush food, get creative with craft activities, learn how to whip up nutritious meals, and so much more!

2025 Program

Little Food Festival works with like-minded organisations to deliver engaging, educational activations and stage performances that spark curiosity and inspire a lifelong love for food and sustainability.

In their activation zones, kids will explore every stage of the food system: from growing, moving, and buying food to cooking, eating, and recycling.
