Convent Kids Pop Up

Spend a Saturday morning making things with your children at the Convent Kids Pop Up in the Salon at Abbotsford Convent!

Convent Kids is Abbotsford Convent's program of hands-on art activities for children and families, and the pop-up brings it to the Salon once a month. It runs as part of the Regional Farmers Market.

What to Expect at the Convent Kids Pop Up

The Convent Kids Pop Up offers a hands-on workshop between 10 am and 1 pm on Saturday 14 November and Saturday 12 December. Families make art together at the table, and you're welcome to pick up the scissors alongside your child.

October's pop-up shows the range. Kids' Own Publishing ran a book-making workshop where each child wrote and illustrated an eight-page book that was copied on the spot as a limited edition. Pennie Jagiello and Alexandra Sherlock ran a shoe upcycling workshop with leather scraps and old shoe parts. Look to the event page for the November and December workshops.

Make a Day of It

The Regional Farmers Market sets up at the Convent on the second Saturday of every month from 9 am to 2 pm, so you can browse the stalls and buy produce before the workshop starts at 10 am or after it finishes at 1 pm! Tickets cost $10.
