Bon Bon-Land, Denmark

This candy themed park is Denmark's very own Willy Wonky Chocolate factory of bizarre attractions. Take for instance the wall-to-wall urinating dogs, puking rats, and cows with exposed breasts. Or the Dog Fart Switchback rollercoaster where you soar and glide over mounds of dog excrement while amplified fart sounds boom from a giant humiliated dog lifting his leg. This one is not for the prudish families!

You also get to meet and greet your favourite characters (well, candy bars) and try all the Hershey chocolate samples you can get your hands on. Popeye Village, Malta

This ramshackle collection of wooden buildings set on a beautiful bay in Malta was constructed as a film set for the 1980 Robin Williams movie. Families can explore the colourful village, meet the characters and peruse through the Popeye comic museum. There are also regular boat trips, puppet shows and a cinema, where you can watch the Popeye film. Kids will love the popular "Take 2 filming" where you will be able to take part in daily filming and become the actors in a live action movie.
