The Accommodation That Is Every Couple's Dream Come True
By: Phoebe Ackland, ellaslist
Check out Buubble- the '5 million star hotel' in Iceland that is literally a bubble in the middle of a secluded forest!
Big enough for a couple, imagine the romantic night you and someone special could spend together with nobody around, as you fall asleep under the magical northern lights and the dreamy night sky full of stars watching over you. The whole bubble is transparent, so there is nothing to obstruct your superb views and nothing but birds to peek on you. Buubble withholds the addresses of their bubbles until the day of your stay so that nobody can go snooping on anyone else- pretty amazing!
A Bubble That's All Your Own
Buubble currently has 5 kinds of bubble accommodation available, named Una, Asta, Thorunn, Valdis and Maria. They are all fitted with double beds (Valdis and Maria have round-beds), and are located in secluded, gorgeous Icelandic forests. Winter is the most popular time for bubble bookings as this is when you can glimpse the northern lights, however, in Summer, Buubble reminds guests that there is "amazing green forest with all its wonderful birds, butterflies and great scenery" to be enjoyed. Using 'Bubble Lodge Technology', the bubble remains completely inflated, has a noiseless ventilation system that renews the air inside 2-7 times the volume per hour to prevent humidity, and has a sophisticated heating system so that you won't experience a touch of the wintery goodness that is unfolding outside your bubble.
Take A Bubble Tour
Buubble also offers a Golden Circle Iceland tour where guests are taken to the stunning Thingvellir National Park, Geysir hot springs, the Gullfoss waterfall, a local restaurant for dinner, a relaxing post-dinner float in a secret lagoon, followed by an overnight stay in a bubble. Iceland is sounding like a pretty nice honeymoon, babymoon, or sans-kid international getaway if you ask us...
Secret Lagoon on the Golden Circle Tour
A night stay will cost you roughly AUD $377, so "lay in the bed, turn off the lamp and start counting." Visit their Facebook page for more information.
