Bawley Point: A Secret Aussie Town That's the New Byron Bay
According to James Booth, families can "Banish Bendalong to the recesses of your memory, shut up about Jervis Bay, and let Byron die a peaceful Death By Influencer: there’s a new turquoise haven in town, and it’s not one you’re likely to have heard of." So, what's all the fuss about?
A bounty of exquisite beaches, an unspoiled vibe, and a burgeoning winery and restaurant scene are just a few of the things that have Aussie travellers drawing plenty of comparisons between Byron Bay, the country's most popular and iconic beach town, and the lesser-known beauty of Bawley Point.
In reality, however, it's more likely that Bawley Point is like an iteration of Byron Bay from years gone by before it became the tourist hub it is today. Bawley still feels relatively untouched, operating at a slower pace, making it the perfect family getaway for soaking up some outdoor fun.
