The 2024 lineup? It’s a love letter to our city, curated by the visionary Artistic Director Louise Bezzina. We're talking 230 free gigs, 22 fresh debuts, a dozen Queensland firsts, and six international acts. Plus, a spotlight shining bright on over 160 First Nations talents. This is community vibes turned up to eleven.

The festivities kick off with the soulful Jumoo smoking ceremony – a heartfelt nod to our local Indigenous roots. And the grand finale? A Disco Wonderland that promises to send off those 22 vibrant days with a bang. But where do you dive into this cultural feast? Make a beeline to the BOQ Festival Garden at South Bank Parklands. It’s the pulsating heart of the fest – a wonderland for all ages with the best in food, wine, and entertainment.

Family Events at Brisbane Festival

Plunge into the deep blue with Shark Dive, a jaw-dropping puppetry experience from the legendary Erth team, and come face-to-face with the Great White Shark, minus the wet suit. Or join the heartwarming journey of Niarra and Te Umuroa in Hide The Dog, a spirited adventure peppered with mythical twists from Tasmanian and Aotearoa lore – storytelling doesn’t get more epic than this.
